Three core service areas designed to create meaningful lasting changes
Social care assessments
Assessments are conducted in either BSL (British SignLanguage), SSE (Sign Supported English) or spoken English to ensure deaf individuals receive fair, accurate and culturally sensitive evaluations by a qualified and experienced deaf social worker. This removes the need to rely on interpreters and allows the social worker to directly take into account language and cultural factors that can significantly affect outcomes .
Why BSL led assessments matter?
When assessments are done through interpreters crucial nuances can be lost. By working directly in BSL, I ensure that the deaf person’s views are heard clearly and accurately leading to better outcomes.
